Graduate of the Manhattan School of Music (where he was taught by Paul Cohen). Also studied under Akemi Endo, Shiro Hatae, and Nobuya Sugawa.

Has impressed at a number of competitions, including the 5th Adolphe Sax International Competition (Dinant, 2010), the New York MTNA Young Artist Competition (2010), the LISMA International Music Competition (2010), and the Vandoren Emerging Artist Competition (2013). Has given the premiere performances of a number of pieces, either as a soloist or with ensembles: Sun-Young Park’s Haru for Solo Alto Saxophone, James Sheppard’s Chamber Concerto and Generation Y, Dillon Kondor’s Prince of Cats 2.0, Inhyun Kim’s Saxophone Quartet, Avner Finberg’s Fossilization and Saxophone Concerto, and Thiago Tiberio’s Saxophone Concerto.
