Graduate of California State University Long Beach (where he was taught by Jay Mason) and of the University of Southern California Los Angeles. Currently studying at the University of Iowa under Kenneth Tse. Has taken part in a number of competitions, including the International Saxophone Symposium and Competition (Columbus, 2012) and the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference (2013). Has taught at Gladstone High School, Alice Ellington and Valleydale Elementary Schools, and Rowland High School among other institutions. Currently teaching in the Jazz Studies Department of the University of Iowa (as assistant). Has taken part in master classes with Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Masato Kumoi, Julia Nolan, Nobuya Sugawa, and the Zagreb Saxophone Quartet.
