Graduate of the University of Houston (where he was taught by Karen Wylie). Currently studying at Indiana University under Otis Murphy.

Has impressed in a number of competitions as a soloist – including the Texas MTNA Chamber Music Competition (2010), the North American Saxophone Alliance Solo Competition (2012), and the Young Texas Artist Competition (2013) – and with the Kenari Saxophone Quartet at the

J.C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition (2013), the Plowman Chamber Music Festival (2013), and the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition (2013), among others.

Taught at Tulane University; currently teaches at Indiana University. Also gives private lessons.
