Graduate of the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory (where he was taught by Anatoly Tikhonov). Further studies at the Conservatoire D. Milhaud in Aix-en-Provence under Jean- Pierre Caens and later at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Versailles under Vincent David.

Has impressed in a number of competitions, including the Concorso Amici della Musica 2000, the Concorsi Internazionali di Musica della Val Tidone (2004), the 21st Century Art Competition for Young Performers (Jyväskylä, 2006), and the Youth Delphic Games of Russia (2009).

Has performed with the St Petersburg Philharmonia and the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra. Has taken part in master classes with Claude Delangle, Jean- Yves Fourmeau, and Jean-Denis Michat, among others.
