Graduate of the University of Arizona (where he was taught by Timothy McAllister). Currently studying at the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester under Chien-Kwan Lin. Has impressed in a number of competitions, including the Tucson Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition (2008), the University of Arizona Concerto Competition (2009 and 2011), the North American Saxophone Alliance Solo Competition (2012), the Astral Artists National Auditions (2013), the Mahler Philharmonic International Artists Audition (2014), and several organised by the Music Teachers National Association. Currently teaching at the Eastman School of Music and also in a private studio. Has given a number of world premieres, some of which were released on the CD Walimai.
